Wednesday 06 May, TEMPERATURA welcomes the Portland, Oregon based duo MSHR, and the Amsterdam based duo 7090.

MSHR is an art collective that collaboratively builds and explores sculptural electronic systems. Their performances and installations integrate electrical signals and human presence, weaving dense networks of causality to form audiovisual environments that babble with a life-like current. They explore intuitive and technical gradients between sonic and sculptural forms, using analog circuitry and open-source software to sculpt mutually resonant hyperobjects.
MSHR was founded by Brenna Murphy and Birch Cooper in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, as an offshoot from the collective Oregon Painting Society. The name MSHR is a modular acronym designed to hold varied ideas over time. It can be pronounced as an acronym or like one who meshes.

7090 is a duo consisting of Koen Kaptijn and Nora Mulder. At TEMPERATURA they bring improvised live electronics where vinyl, tape and micro-noise devices meet the analog ecosystem of Ciat Lonbarde. An unpredictable set of loops, glitches and shifting climates. No songs, no presets –just live circuitry.

* If you wish to attend but can’t afford our entry fee, please send us an email to temperatura.amsterdam (at) gmail (dot) com and we ‘ll make sure you can join us.
