This 27th of June Bajesdorp, GROND and the Bajestuin join forces for a full day program for young and old, familiar faces and new friends, for the yearly BLOCK PARTY!

13:00 – 16:30 > Workshops

We start the day in the Bajestuin (garden) and the new makers’ space of GROND, for an ongoing workshop afternoon. We will make paper, host a workshop for kids, learn about compost, fermentation, pruning and cuttings, and experience what the garden and makers space becomes when many different hands, materials, ages, skills, and stories meet. (Keep an eye on the website for more workshops that might be added).

15:00 – 23:00 [tbc]

During the afternoon you can also join the ping-pong competition, following the start of the traditional Block Party, a yearly festival in which Bajesdorp invites musicians, dj’s, chefs. Since the opening of the new building, we are slowly bringing back this yearly tradition.

Our headliner is the Fanfare van de Eerste Liefdesnacht, a joyful brass band that turns every performance into a high-energy street celebration. The program includes performances on our outdoor stage and in the black box of GROND. This year you can learn more about AfroFuturism. Dinner is served by chef Mohamed and, just like last year, we will be back with our outdoor cocktail bar.

Save the Date voor de jaarlijkse BLOCK PARTY, een samenwerking tussen GROND x Bajesdorp x Bajestuin

Op 27 juni bundelen Bajesdorp, GROND en de Bajestuin hun krachten voor een dagvullend programma voor jong en oud, bekende gezichten en nieuwe vrienden: de jaarlijkse BLOCK PARTY!

13:00–16:30 > Workshops

We beginnen de dag in de Bajestuin en de nieuwe makerspace van GROND met een doorlopend workshopprogramma. We gaan papier maken, organiseren een kinderworkshop, leren over compost, fermentatie, snoeien en stekken, en ervaren wat er ontstaat wanneer veel verschillende handen, materialen, leeftijden, vaardigheden en verhalen samenkomen in de tuin en makerspace. Houd de website in de gaten voor extra workshops die mogelijk nog worden toegevoegd.

15:00–23:00 [onder voorbehoud]

In de middag kun je ook meedoen aan de pingpongcompetitie, waarna de traditionele Block Party van start gaat: een jaarlijks festival waarbij Bajesdorp muzikanten, dj’s en chefs uitnodigt. Sinds de opening van het nieuwe gebouw brengen we deze jaarlijkse traditie stap voor stap terug.

Onze headliner is de Fanfare van de Eerste Liefdesnacht: een vrolijke brassband die elk optreden verandert in een energiek straatfeest. Het programma bestaat uit optredens op ons buitenpodium en in de black box van GROND. Dit jaar kun je meer leren over AfroFuturisme. Het diner wordt verzorgd door chef Mohamed en, net als vorig jaar, keren we terug met onze cocktailbar buiten.
