SUMMARY:TEMPERATURA
DESCRIPTION:20:30 (doors: 20:00)\nTickets online: regular €10 / discount €7 – at the door: €12\,5* \nWednesday 06 May\, TEMPERATURA welcomes the Portland\, Oregon based duo MSHR\, and the Amsterdam based duo 7090.\n \nMSHR is an art collective that collaboratively builds and explores sculptural electronic systems. Their performances and installations integrate electrical signals and human presence\, weaving dense networks of causality to form audiovisual environments that babble with a life-like current. They explore intuitive and technical gradients between sonic and sculptural forms\, using analog circuitry and open-source software to sculpt mutually resonant hyperobjects.\nMSHR was founded by Brenna Murphy and Birch Cooper in 2011 in Portland\, Oregon\, as an offshoot from the collective Oregon Painting Society. The name MSHR is a modular acronym designed to hold varied ideas over time. It can be pronounced as an acronym or like one who meshes. \n7090 is a duo consisting of Koen Kaptijn and Nora Mulder. At TEMPERATURA they bring improvised live electronics where vinyl\, tape and micro-noise devices meet the analog ecosystem of Ciat Lonbarde. An unpredictable set of loops\, glitches and shifting climates. No songs\, no presets –just live circuitry. \n\n* If you wish to attend but can’t afford our entry fee\, please send us an email to temperatura.amsterdam (at) gmail (dot) com and we ‘ll make sure you can join us.\n_____________\nTEMPERATURA is a contemporary music concert series\, improvisation hub\, and everything in between\, initiated by composers/performers J. Veličković and F. Konstantinidou. The series focuses on contemporary music from the Netherlands and beyond\, aiming to bring together its diverse expressions. By promoting the wide spectrum of contemporary musical stimuli\, TEMPERATURA seeks to bridge the gap between musicians\, composers\, and performers from different musical backgrounds. Ultimately\, the series strives to bring fresh musical adventures to local audiences and spread today’s artistic practices.

SUMMARY:David Mitchell's Natural Light - album release
DESCRIPTION:Grond member David Mitchell presents his new solo album Natural Light.  The album is an exploration of the interaction of light and memory\, looking at how qualities of light evoke memories both specific and universal.  Recorded in single takes\, without edits and overdubs\, the six pieces on the album were created using the Soma Cosmos\, a complex delay system that allows Mitchell to build shifting soundscapes that metamorphose over the course of performance.  Over this sonic tapestry\, Mitchell builds improvised lines that recall the work of John McLaughlin on the seminal Miles Davis release In a Silent Way. For this performance\, Mitchell will be accompanied by the renowned saxophone and flute player Finn Peters\, who has played with Bill Frisell\, Sam Rivers\, Evan Parker\, Marlena Shaw and many others\, and award winning dancer and film maker Andrea Hackl.   Expect wide ranging\, psychedelic improvisations.  Entry by donation\, free download of the album for donations over 15 euros.
