SUMMARY:Dinner–Music–Dialogue
DESCRIPTION:Food & Music\nby The String Octet\, Mazen Al Ashkar\, Judith Baten \nGROND Bijdorpstraat 1\, 1096AP\, Amsterdam\nDinner–Music–Dialogue 19:00–21:00 (doors 18:30)\nTickets (inc. food & concert): regular €25 (or more) / discount €20 available at the door or online here.\n▶︎ Reservation required ◀︎ Please RSVP by booking your tickets online \nFREE ENTRY after 20:30 with live music by the Brazilian band Arte Feiticeira\, and uplifting music until late! \n\nABOUT the event \nFood and music go well together\, but the challenge is to present it in such a way that it reinforces each other! That is exactly what this evening is. Musically\, a time journey is made that starts in romanticism and extends to high-modern improvisation. The dishes will be inspired by the atmosphere created by the music. A unique experience! \nThe String Octet:\nAfter coming together as a group last year in this unique composition\, this is already the second project of this octet. These eight string players have been playing together for years\, but this composition has proven to be a great success. They have already rehearsed a wonderful program and will play it with great dedication. This octet likes to experiment. They look for concert formats where the music can be achieved even better. Music is experienced together with the sensations of food. We look forward to the experiences of all visitors! \n\nJudith Baten: Food\nMax Bruch: Octet for strings\nD.S.: Two pieces for sting octet\nBram Faber: Strands\nMazen Al Ashkar – An improvisation on two sequences exploring microtonality in modular setup.
